do you shoot weddings?

i take on a select number of weddings per year, usually around 10. what draws me to weddings is the community surrounding the humans professing their love to one another. i love a wedding that feels like a dinner party, a run away to the courthouse in our sneakers wedding, an intimate moment with the humans you love and adore. this means the smaller the better, and i am always down for last-minute elopments.

how last minute are we talking about with these elopements?

if you’re in minnesota, iowa, or south dakota? it can mean the very same day up to a week out. if you are farther than that we would need about 5-7 days to get everything together and i’m yours. i love spontaneity, so these are my FAVORITE weddings.

will all of my photos be digital? film?

i will photograph with a combination of digital and film for my client work. if we are partnering together on something that i have reached out to you for it will primarily be photographed on film.

all packages will indicate if they include film or not. if you would like to add it to a package where it is not already included I have an a la carte option for film coverage.

if you’d like to add only film coverage to a session that already has a digital photographer, you, me, and that photographer would need to have a planning meeting to make sure we have a strategy that works for everyone.

what is a creative portrait?

a creative portrait is whatever we can dream up together! i love capturing artists in their creative spaces, you in an important moment of your life, a group of connected souls. the limits only exist with what we can imagine. i’ve done everything from movie theater magic to diners to thrift stores. whatever your concept, i’m in!

who is your ideal client?

i don’t have an ideal client. in fact, i hate when this topic is brought up among photographers. all humans are welcome here. my art is a safe place for all. no exceptions.

what should my budget look like for us to work together?

i work with all of my clients on a package that makes sense for their budget while also taking care of my family.

i offer payment plans for all of my clients and never add on fees after an agreed-upon budget. all travel expenses are based on what i have to report with my federal taxes at the end of the year and nothing more because it’s right.
